What Is Motion Bubble Shooter?

Motion Bubble Shooter is a brand-new motion game from SwayJoy, launched in 2026. It recreates the classic Bubble Shooter gameplay while leveling up the way you control it — your fingers and your fist become the controller. The camera reads your hand gestures right in the browser and turns them into in-game actions, so no keyboard or mouse is needed. All it takes is a modern browser and the camera on your device.

The game runs in your browser using your device's camera (external cameras are supported too). Before you start, you'll be asked to let the SwayJoy page access your camera. All motion recognition runs locally in your browser — the camera feed is never transmitted over the network, so your privacy is fully respected. Processing the video locally also keeps input latency low, which makes the game feel responsive and smooth.

In-game gesture recognition stays at a stable 30 FPS or higher, while the rendering holds a steady 60 FPS (on very old, low-performance devices the frame rate may drop a little). Best of all, no extra hardware is needed — just the built-in camera and a browser on your computer or phone, and Motion Bubble Shooter is ready to play.

Key Features of this Motion Game

Classic Bubble Shooter gameplay: aim your shot, and when the bubble reaches the cluster, clear 3 or more bubbles of the same color to score. The one big difference is that every action is driven by your own hands, tracked through the camera — real motion control from the palm of your hand.

The game is built around multiple levels that ramp from easy to hard, challenging you to find out just how steady your hands really are. And when you hit your target with a real, physical gesture, the sense of achievement is a whole lot stronger than tapping a keyboard or swiping a screen.

Tips for Clearing Motion Bubble Shooter Levels

Here are a few tips we've put together to help you clear levels faster and more reliably.

Get comfortable with grabbing and shooting bubbles

Motion Bubble Shooter supports two ways to grab a bubble:

  1. Pinch. Pinch your thumb and index finger together to grab a bubble, then open them to shoot. Keep your other fingers curled so the camera can clearly see your thumb and index finger and recognize the gesture reliably.
  2. Fist. Curl all five fingers (make a fist) to grab a bubble, then open all five fingers to shoot.

Aim carefully before you shoot

Pinch a bubble, then pull the slingshot down and back. This step matters: the slingshot needs to be drawn back properly — just like a real one. The farther you pull, the more accurate your aim and the less the direction wobbles. When you've pulled to the right distance, release quickly, and the bubble will land exactly where you want it.

Grab bubbles anywhere in the play area

You don't have to put your hand right on the slingshot. You can grab a bubble from anywhere on screen, no matter where your hand happens to be. The moment you grab and pull down, the bubble snaps to the slingshot and your gesture maps right onto it — the feel is really satisfying.

Pop more same-colored bubbles with every shot

The more bubbles of the same color you clear in a single shot, the higher your score — and the faster and easier it is to clear the board.

Why did SwayJoy build this motion-based Bubble Shooter?

  1. A fresh kind of gaming experience. Traditional bubble shooters are a little too easy to finish — the shot direction and the landing spot are easy to predict, so your bubbles almost always land exactly where you aimed. In Motion Bubble Shooter you first have to master the motion controls, and every player's hand steadiness is different, which brings in extra unpredictability. And that unpredictability is part of the fun: it makes each hard-earned level clear feel even more exciting.
  2. Kinder to your eyes. In the motion version you naturally sit farther from the screen, because your hands need to stay in the camera frame — usually around 30–80 cm from the screen, which puts your eyes even farther away. Players who can will even connect their computer to a TV over HDMI and play on the big screen, pushing the distance out further still. Compared with a classic bubble shooter, it's far gentler on eye strain.
  3. Get your body moving. This is one of the great advantages of motion gaming. SwayJoy wants you to pull your hands off the desk more often — wave your arms, sway your body, and play in a way that adds a healthier dose of Joy to your day.
