How to Play sobosuba Motion

1. Choose Play with camera, allow webcam access and show one hand for the 3, 2, 1 countdown. Start with your hand open.

2. With your hand open, move left, center or right to choose one of the three blobs. Close your fist to lock that choice and move to aim. Make a fist to charge, then open your hand to shoot. A quick squeeze makes a gentle shot; hold for about a second to launch with more force. Tilt your hand to angle the shot.

3. Matching numbers merge: 1 + 1 → 2, 2 + 2 → 4, all the way to 2048. Jelly blobs bend and squeeze into the gaps. Choose from three blobs, shoot with different strengths and squeeze matching numbers together.

4. Keep settled blobs below the side markers. A blob remaining above it for three seconds ends the round. Your best score is saved in this browser.

5. With mouse or touch, move to aim, hold to charge and release to shoot. Use ← / → to aim, A / D to angle and hold/release Space to fire. Press P to pause.

Soft Shapes, Satisfying Shots

sobosuba Motion is a SwayJoy motion-controlled recreation inspired by sobosuba. The blobs have flexible outlines: they wobble on landing, compress against neighbors and grow when matching numbers meet. A strong shot can push a crowded pile; a gentle one helps you place a match without disturbing the rest.

Give Every Shot a Little Thought

Choose between the three blobs before you shoot. With an open hand, move left, center or right to select a blob; make a fist to lock that choice, aim and charge. Mouse players can click a capsule or press 1, 2 or 3. Build matching pairs, angle a shot into an opening and keep enough room for the larger numbers. Merging two 2048 blobs clears them and awards points, so you can keep chasing a higher score.

This is an independent SwayJoy recreation with motion controls, not an official sobosuba release. The original game is made by keepeetron: visit the official sobosuba website.

Your Hand Is the Launcher

The camera reads your hand position and finger curl locally on your device. It does not need a microphone and does not record or upload video. The camera preview is visible by default. If tracking is lost, the pending shot is cancelled; a longer loss pauses the game. Show your hand again to resume after a countdown. Returning to the menu, switching to manual controls or leaving the page stops the camera.

FAQ

How do I shoot with my hand?
Choose Play with camera and show one open hand. With an open hand, move left, center or right to choose a blob. Make a fist to lock your choice, aim and charge; open your hand to shoot. Hold longer for more power. Tilt your hand to angle the shot. Keep the whole hand visible.
What is the goal?
Merge matching numbers from 1 through 2048. A merge awards the new number in points. Choose one of the three blobs before charging your shot. Keep settled blobs below the side markers. Two 2048 blobs merge away to free space.
Can I play without a camera?
Yes. Choose one of the three capsules or press 1, 2 or 3, then move to aim, hold to charge and release to shoot. The arrow keys aim, A and D adjust the angle, and holding then releasing Space fires a shot. P pauses.
When does the game end?
A settled blob above the side markers for three seconds ends the round. New shots have a short settling grace period. The container also has a safety limit of 80 blobs. Play again starts with a fresh 3, 2, 1 countdown.
What happens if my hand disappears?
The pending charge is cancelled without firing. A longer tracking loss pauses the game. Show your hand again to resume after 3, 2, 1, then open your hand before charging the next shot.
Are my camera and scores private?
Camera frames are processed on your device and are not recorded or uploaded. Your best score is saved in this browser. Returning to the menu, switching to manual controls or leaving the game stops the camera.
